When comparing ground beef, Walmart's 1-pound roll was priced at $5.94, slightly lower than Kroger's at $5.99. Amazon did not have a 1-pound package of 73% lean ground beef available, only a 3-pound roll which equated to $6.15 per pound. This item was ultimately excluded from basket totals due to availability issues.
For sweet corn, Walmart offered the lowest price at $0.25 per ear, significantly undercutting Kroger at $0.40 and Amazon at $1.25 per ear. Fresh red cherries were priced at $2.50 per pound at Walmart. Kroger offered them at $2.99 per pound with a loyalty card, and Amazon also priced them at $2.99 per pound.
