Newly promoted French club Troyes announced on Saturday the sale of forward Mathys Detourbet to Premier League club Manchester City. Financial terms of the transfer were not disclosed by either club. However, French sports daily L'Equipe reported that Manchester City signed the 19-year-old Frenchman for approximately 25 million euros, which equates to $28.5 million. Detourbet, who has been with Troyes' academy since he was eight years old, is expected to be loaned to Monaco for the upcoming season. Last season, the left winger contributed three goals as Troyes won Ligue 2, securing their promotion to the top flight. Troyes expressed pride in supporting Detourbet's development and thanked him for his commitment. Troyes is one of twelve clubs that are wholly or partially owned by the City Football Group, with Manchester City serving as its flagship team.
