Radian Group has finalized the sale of its Real Estate Services business and entered into an agreement to sell its title insurance business to PLACE. These moves are central to Radian's strategic pivot towards becoming a global multi-line specialty insurer, shedding non-core assets previously categorized under its 'All Other' segment.

The completed sale of the Real Estate Services unit and the pending sale of the title business are expected to conclude Radian's divestment of ancillary operations. Radian CEO Rick Thornberry highlighted these actions as a significant milestone, reflecting the execution of a strategy initiated after a comprehensive review in 2025, which also saw the acquisition of Inigo. Thornberry stated that PLACE is well-positioned to continue the success of these businesses while Radian concentrates on its specialty insurance focus.

Ben Kinney, co-founder and CEO of PLACE, noted that Radian's acquired operations bring valuable industry expertise, customer relationships, and capabilities that complement PLACE's mission to serve real estate professionals, homeowners, and institutional clients with technology-driven services. The divested units encompass title, settlement, valuation, brokerage, and property management services, including entities like Radian Real Estate Management LLC, homegenius Real Estate, Radian Title Insurance Inc., and Radian Settlement Services Inc.

This strategic repositioning allows Radian to concentrate on its core mortgage insurance and specialty insurance lines, moving away from fee-based housing services. CEO-elect Mike Weinbach emphasized that this transformation supports disciplined capital allocation and long-term value creation, while expanding market access. The divestitures follow a strategic review that also led to Radian's acquisition of Inigo, a Lloyd's specialty insurer, in February 2026 for $1.67 billion. Citizens Capital Markets & Advisory served as Radian's financial advisor, with Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP acting as legal counsel.
