Peacock has implemented its fourth price increase in four years, raising monthly subscription costs across its plans. The ad-free Premium Plus tier is now $20 per month, an increase from $17.
These price hikes follow Peacock's achievement of its first quarterly profit in the second quarter of 2026, with $189 million in adjusted EBITDA. Peacock also added 2 million subscribers in the quarter, bringing its total user base to 48 million.
Despite this profitability, Comcast co-CEO Michael Cavanagh indicated that quarterly profits may fluctuate based on content releases, such as major sporting events. The company continues to invest heavily in live sports, including an 11-year deal worth $2.5 billion annually for exclusive rights to approximately 50 NBA games, alongside other significant investments in events like Sunday Night Football and the Premier League. The increased subscription prices could help fund this programming, though continued annual price hikes may become a norm for the service.
