Nara Organics has initiated a voluntary recall of all its infant formula sold in the United States following reports of three infant botulism cases. The company stated that while its products did not test positive for the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, the recall is being issued out of an abundance of caution. The affected formula was sold between July 2025 and June 2026 at Target stores, Target.com, and Nara.com. Infant botulism, a serious condition, can occur when babies ingest spores that grow in their digestive systems and produce toxins, potentially leading to severe complications.
