Goldman Sachs' private equity arm has agreed to acquire control of Italian medical equipment maker Numantec from White Bridge Investment. Numantec, based near Mantua, supplies a range of healthcare products and drug-delivery devices, employing approximately 600 people and operating seven manufacturing facilities across Europe and the United States.
White Bridge Investment had built Numantec through acquisitions, notably after a 2021 investment in Delta Med. While financial details were not disclosed, a source familiar with the matter indicated the sale valued Numantec at around €700 million. Under its new ownership, Numantec is expected to continue its expansion in Europe and strengthen its presence in the U.S., a market it entered last year by acquiring rival Health Line International.
The transaction is anticipated to conclude in the fourth quarter. JPMorgan served as the financial adviser to White Bridge Investment, while Goldman Sachs International advised its own alternatives division.
