Ford has officially named its upcoming midsize electric pickup truck the Fathom, with a starting price of $28,350. Including destination and delivery fees, the price rises to $29,945. Deliveries are slated to begin in fall 2027, with the truck to be revealed and pre-orders opening in early 2027.
The Fathom is Ford's second all-electric truck and is built on the new 'Universal EV Platform' (UEV), designed to cut costs and power multiple EV models. This initiative, led by CEO Jim Farley, aims to compete with Tesla and Chinese EV manufacturers.
Features will include Apple Maps integration, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay support, five seats, a large touchscreen, a digital car key, and bidirectional power capability.
