Etihad Airways, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), has introduced a complimentary medical travel insurance program for eligible international visitors. This initiative aims to enhance the travel experience and stimulate tourism to Abu Dhabi. The coverage will be automatically included with qualifying Etihad-operated flight tickets purchased outside the UAE for travel between July and December 2026, providing up to 15 days of medical insurance within the UAE. The insurance is underwritten by The National Insurance Company – Daman, part of PureHealth. This program is designed to offer travelers peace of mind and simplify their journey to the emirate, which boasts attractions like the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Yas Island. Officials from both DCT Abu Dhabi and Etihad Airways expressed optimism that the initiative will cater to growing global interest in the destination and ensure a seamless end-to-end visitor experience.
