easyJet is launching a new initiative called 'Teddy Trackers' to help families travelling this summer keep tabs on their children's beloved stuffed toys. The airline is partnering with Life360 to offer complimentary tile trackers that can be attached to toys. Parents will be able to track their child's companion using a smartphone app connected via Bluetooth.
Families can collect these 'teddy trackers' at easyJet bag drop locations starting July 31 at London Gatwick, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Belfast airports, while supplies last. This service aims to provide parents with added peace of mind, ensuring that important comfort items make it to their destination and back safely, thereby reducing potential travel stress and upset for children.
According to a survey conducted by easyJet among over 1,000 parents of children under 10, a significant 55% stated they would alter their holiday plans to retrieve a lost toy. The survey also revealed that stuffed bunnies are the most common type of companion (26%), followed closely by teddy bears (25%), and then action figures or dolls (15%).
