CBH Group, Western Australia's grain growing co-operative, has received the first of 17 new diesel-electric locomotives built by Wabtec Corporation. These locomotives, part of the CBH Group's Path to 2033 strategy aimed at building export capacity, are designated as the 200 Class and are powered by GE 7FDL-8 V8 diesel engines, producing 2,000 hp each. The first three units (202, 203, and 204) arrived in January 2026, with operational and acceptance trials commencing three months later in April 2026. Subsequent batches of locomotives arrived throughout 2026, with the final units delivered by June. The official launch for these new locomotives, alongside new CGHY and CGKY grain hopper wagons, took place on August 14, 2026, at the CBH Metro Grain Centre in Forrestfield, Western Australia. Locomotive 209 pulled the ceremonial train on the launch day.
