Cassie Ventura has reportedly left the United States after serving as a key witness in Sean "Diddy" Combs' sex crimes trial last summer. Documents obtained by Fox News Digital reveal that Ventura, 39, filed a motion on May 1 to transfer a lawsuit filed against her by former male escort Clayton Howard from California to New York. Howard's lawsuit claims "sexual exploitation, trafficking, and abuse" over 10 years by Diddy and Ventura.
In the motion, Ventura argued that New York is a more convenient forum because Howard resides in New Jersey, corporate defendants are incorporated in New York, many relevant facts occurred in New York City, and numerous similar cases are pending in New York federal and state courts. She stated, "I do not reside in the United States, but it is more convenient for her to travel to New York than California." She also declared, "I am not a resident of the State of California. I reside outside of the United States. I do not intent to move back to the United States."
Ventura testified for four days about alleged abuse, including a rape claim in 2018 and a violent assault at the InterContinental Hotel in 2016. Surveillance footage of Diddy dragging Ventura down a hotel hallway was shown to the jury. Diddy was found not guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking but convicted on two lesser counts. He was sentenced to over four years in prison and has been incarcerated since September 16, 2024, with a scheduled release in February 2028. Ventura, who married Alex Fine in 2019, gave birth to her third child in May 2025.
