South Korea and China have initiated the 15th round of follow-up negotiations concerning services and investment under their bilateral free trade agreement (FTA). The talks, which commenced in Beijing and are scheduled to continue throughout the week, involve trade delegations from both nations.
The FTA between Seoul and Beijing was implemented in December 2015, leading to the elimination of tariffs on a wide array of products. Since 2018, the two countries have engaged in 14 rounds of follow-up discussions aimed at broadening the pact's coverage to include the services and investment sectors.
