Google is set to unveil its Pixel 11 series later this month, with leaks indicating minimal changes from the previous generation, except for a new illuminated feature. Previously rumored as "Pixel Glow," this feature has been confirmed by a new leak to be called HiLight. Roland Quandt of WinFuture shared an image on Bluesky showing the HiLight LED integrated into the camera module of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. This multi-color LED is expected to function as a flashlight and camera flash, but its primary new function is to provide discreet notifications when the phone is face down. The leaked graphic, which includes French text, translates to "Stay informed without looking at your screen." HiLight will reportedly illuminate for incoming calls from designated contacts and for interactions with Google's AI assistant, Gemini. This marks a return to notification LEDs, albeit on the rear of the device, and aligns with Google's broader integration of Gemini across its product ecosystem, such as the illuminated ring on the new Google Home Speaker. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold's camera bump is also noted to be smaller than its predecessor.
