Persist AI, in collaboration with Microsize and Micromacinazione (Micmac), has launched a new early-stage drug formulation platform named "Micromill." This initiative aims to revolutionize drug development by enabling crucial decisions to be made using only milligrams of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API). The platform provides a fully integrated workflow that spans from initial solubility studies to advanced high-throughput dissolution, stability testing, and in-process analytics. The companies state that this approach will make the drug formulation process less reliant on artisanal methods and more deterministic, even at a very small scale.
