US-based cybersecurity firm N-able Inc. has opened a Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bengaluru, India, with plans to expand its local workforce by at least 50% by the end of 2026. The move is driven by the desire to leverage India's expertise in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, according to CEO John Pagliuca.
The Bengaluru facility, which currently employs over 100 people, will focus on developing advanced defensive AI capabilities, including automated threat detection, monitoring, and faster response times. Pagliuca emphasized that the expansion prioritizes long-term capability building with the right talent over short-term headcount growth.
This expansion aligns with a broader trend of growth in India's GCC sector, which is projected to employ 2.36 million people by 2026, with AI and cybersecurity being key demand drivers. N-able is competing for highly sought-after talent in these fields by offering competitive compensation and opportunities for global innovation and career development.
The company's move comes as cybercriminals increasingly utilize generative AI for sophisticated attacks, making N-able's focus on developing AI-powered defenses critical for its global operations.
