Kyoto, Japan -- Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has announced the launch of the GCJ21BD72A225KE02, a new soft-termination chip multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC). This product is noted as the world's first of its kind to achieve a capacitance of 2.2μF at a 100Vdc rating while being housed in the compact 0805-inch (2.0×1.25mm) size. The new MLCC is specifically designed for use in automotive powertrain and safety equipment applications.
