President Donald Trump indicated he would soon meet with AI executives to discuss how companies can "give back" to the public.

The company's proposed economic policy framework includes recommendations for government responses to AI-induced unemployment, with scenarios for national unemployment rates reaching 5%, 10%, and an unprecedented level. In the most severe scenario, Anthropic suggested permanent support mechanisms such as basic income, sovereign wealth models, and equity-sharing. The company also emphasized safety and security risks, proposing that government should be able to block AI models posing catastrophic harm risks. Amodei suggested AI regulations should mirror the rigor of Federal Aviation Administration standards, requiring technical testing and auditing.
