In a separate incident in Stapleford, police arrested two men after stopping a suspicious car and discovering a quantity of cocaine, cannabis, cash, and mobile phones. A subsequent search of two addresses linked to the suspects uncovered a significant haul of designer items, including a pair of Louis Vuitton trainers worth approximately £1,000, two pairs of Louis Vuitton sunglasses valued at £780, and ten boxes of Air Jordan trainers.
Officers also found more drugs, including cannabis and suspected MDMA, at a second address. During their time in custody, one of the arrested men, aged 22, was found to have bags of white powder concealed in his jogging bottoms. The other suspect is 24 years old. Both have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs. Inspector Gordon Fenwick stated that the designer items were likely funded through illegal activities and that the investigation into the scale of the operation is continuing.
