Authorities arrested Jeanine John Taele, 38, at President Donald Trump's golf course in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, for allegedly monitoring security activities and carrying weapons ahead of a scheduled fundraising event. Federal agents initially observed Taele taking photographs and videos of the golf grounds. Deputies who responded to the scene discovered Taele was carrying a loaded magazine with prohibited ammunition in his pocket and a loaded pistol in his car. A subsequent search of his residence uncovered an illegally modified AR platform rifle, a .45-caliber pistol, body armor, high-capacity magazines, bulk ammunition, and multiple notebooks containing "concerning statements."

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest Tuesday, stating that while the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be added, there is "no credible threat to our communities." Taele was booked on suspicion of carrying a concealed firearm and possession of prohibited ammunition. The case has been presented to the LA County District Attorney's Office for consideration of criminal charges. President Trump was scheduled to attend a Republican National Committee fundraising dinner at the golf course on Tuesday.
