Gary Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, has been charged by the Metropolitan Police with historic sexual offences dating back to the late 1970s and early 1980s. The charges include one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13 and three counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14, with one alleged victim.
