A Chinese court has sentenced Li Chunliang, formerly the deputy head of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and a significant figure within the Communist Party's personnel system, to life in prison for bribery. The Dezhou Intermediate People’s Court in Shandong province convicted Li of accepting bribes and leveraging his position to solicit illegal payments.
