Lyndsey Fifield, a former girlfriend of Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Graham Platner, has accused him of repeatedly removing condoms during sex without her consent. Fifield told The Washington Post that Platner would remove condoms on multiple occasions between 2013 and 2015, stating he would do so "in a sneaky way" and without informing her.
Fifield's allegations come a day after another of Platner's former girlfriends, Jenny Racicot, accused him of rape, alleging he entered her home uninvited in 2021 while drunk and assaulted her. Fifield stated she decided to share her story publicly after Racicot came forward, aiming to show that she was not the only individual with whom Platner had allegedly disregarded sexual consent.
Fifield had previously accused Platner of being physically rough during their relationship, which lasted from 2013 to 2015. In the wake of Racicot's rape allegation and now Fifield's account, Platner has seen a significant drop in support, with many of his allies calling for his resignation.
