A disability rights activist group staged a subway boarding protest in Seoul on Monday, leading to brief disruptions on Lines 1 and 4. The activists, many using wheelchairs, occupied platforms at Noryangjin Station on Line 1 and Hyehwa Station on Line 4, demanding that the government allocate a sufficient budget for disabled people next year.
To ensure passenger safety, northbound trains were instructed to pass through Noryangjin Station without stopping between 8:30 a.m. and 9:50 a.m. Similarly, southbound trains bypassed Hyehwa Station without stopping from 8:42 a.m. to 9:28 a.m., according to the subway operators.
