The standard silver futures contract carries roughly three hundred thousand dollars of exposure, so the CME has rolled out smaller sizes, a micro at one fifth the standard and a newer hundred ounce contract, letting you size silver to your own account and risk. Jermal then shows how options make even the big contract approachable. After silver's sharp run up and pullback this year, he sells a defined risk put spread well below the market to get a little long delta, risking about three to make one, and it does not even need a rally, just for silver to hold its level.
