Wildfires continue to challenge Europe as evacuations rise

Several European countries continue to face challenges in containing wildfires, as worsening weather conditions exacerbate the situation. Nearly 250,000 people have been evacuated from parts of France, where more than 42,000 hectares of forest have been burned. Hot and windy summer weather is contributing to the spread of the fires. Australia is sending aerial support to assist with firefighting efforts in the region.
