‘Went far beyond’: Obama White House accused of worse press treatment than Trump

Centre of The American Experiment President John Hinderaker argues the Obama White House went further than the Trump administration in its treatment of the press. “The Obama White House banned Fox News,” Mr Hinderaker told News24 host Rita Panahi. This relates to an incident where Treasury Department under the Obama administration initially tried to exclude Fox from a pooled interview with administration official Kenneth Feinberg. “What’s much worse is that the Obama administration tapped reporters’ phones. “They went far beyond anything the Trump White House has done to attack the press.”
