‘Wasn’t just Minister Keogh’s decision’: Calls for Albanese to take responsibility for cuts to vete

Shadow Health Minister Anne Ruston says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese needs to “take responsibility” for the cuts to allied health for veterans, not just Minister for Veterans’ Affairs Matt Keogh. “This incompetent minister, this is not the first mistake he’s made. I mean this is a series of mistakes where he has been called to account for various things in his portfolio,” Ms Ruston told News24 host Chris Kenny. “He’s had to continuously backflip. We have evidence this week that the fact he’s been completely disregarding and disrespectful to the veteran community. “The decision about cutting the funding for allied health for veterans wasn’t just Minister Keogh’s decision … Anthony Albanese needs to take responsibility for the fact that he’s denying people who have served our country.”
