‘Very serious’: Donald Trump threatens Europe over EU’s potential ‘hostile act’

US President Donald Trump claims Canada becoming an associate member of the European Union is “laughable”. President Trump threatened to either slap “very serious” tariffs or stop trading with Europe if he thought it was a “hostile act”. This comes after European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen claimed she would open the door for Canada to join the EU as the first associate member.
