US intervention sends Japanese yen to record high

The US has stepped in to raise the Japanese yen after it hit a 40-year low. With billions of dollars spent on stabilising the yen, it has now reached a three-month high against the US dollar. US President Donald Trump said “We’re always there for Japan. Japan has been very good to us".
