US has to ‘put in measures’ in talks with China to achieve ‘good outcomes’

Retired US Air Force Brigadier General Robert Spalding says the US “has to put in measures” in talks with China to ensure the “outcomes they want”. “These discussions that Secretary Bessent talked about being as productive are taken in the light of they don’t actually expect the Chinese to do what they say,” Mr Spalding told News24 Digital Presenter Gabriella Power. “They’ll have to put in measures to make sure they’ll get the kind of outcomes they want.”
