Shadow Assistant Minister for Citizenship Dave Sharma says inflation has stayed above the RBA’s target band for the past three years, leaving Australia in an “unsustainable position”. “Inflation is still at 3.8 per cent; that is well out of the RBA’s target band of two to three per cent,” Mr Sharma told News24 host Sharri Markson. "It's also higher than any other, well, nearly all other advanced economies. “Australia is an outlier here, and it shows we are not on top of the inflation problem yet.” “The truth is, the RBA has pointed out that government spending, excessive government spending, keeps adding to inflationary pressures in Australia.”
