‘Too late’ for Democratic Party to stop far-left shift as candidates gain momentum

News24 contributor Kosha Gada says it is “too late” for the Democratic Party to move away from the far left as candidates like Mamdani and AOC gain momentum. “Unfortunately for them (Democratic Party), it’s too late because that wing of the party is ascendant; that wing of the party started with the squad and AOC,” Ms Gada told News24 host Rita Panahi. “From there germinates Mamdani and El-Sayed and all these people who are defeating the establishment … one after the other.”
