News24 host James Morrow praises Marco Rubio’s message of optimism and Western renewal, arguing the US Secretary of State is challenging the cultural self-criticism that has spread across America and the wider West. “You know I am a big fan of Marco Rubio, who I think is the smartest and most effective individual to hold the office of Secretary of State since at least Henry Kissinger,” Mr Morrow said. “This self-hatred is really a cancer not just in America, where it hit full flight during the Black Lives Matter riots, but across the West. “Rubio was making an implicit rebuke to all the nonsense that we have been told for generations: all cultures are equal, don't make judgements, you can't criticise a civilisation, unless of course it is the West. “What this is about is pitching forward to a post-Trump future, with a message of optimism and potential. The message is clear, Rubio is saying. America ain't over, and the West ain't over. Not by a long shot."
