The US’s ‘enormous navy’ has the firepower to control the Strait of Hormuz

US Studies Centre Honorary Associate Harry Melkonian says the US has an “enormous navy” which it could use to control the Strait of Hormuz. The US and Iran remain at a crossroads in negotiations over ending the war in the Middle East. This comes as US President Donald Trump announced he will declare the Strait of Hormuz American territory.
