Terrifying footage shows crashed Amazon cargo jet moments after overrunning airport runway

Harrowing footage has captured an Amazon cargo jet emitting smoke after it overran the runway at Miami International Airport. At the time of reporting, up to five people have died after the jet crashed into multiple vehicles and caught fire. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue confirmed up to 10 people were involved in the crash. Fire Chief Raied Jadallah revealed rescue teams converged on the crash site within “seconds”, and officials are still battling a fuel leak. Jadallah confirmed three people are in critical condition and were taken to a trauma centre, while two others were brought to a local hospital.
