‘The View’ co-host Sunny Hostin has been exposed for claiming that she was the holdout juror on a New York City cannibal’s trial. The trial in which Hostin claimed she was the holdout juror saw the cannibal killer found guilty by reason of insanity. According to the New York Post, multiple sources at the time came forward arguing against Hostin’s claims. Hostin revealed she was the holdout juror live on-air on The View, where she read an article covering the 1991 trial. An investigation by mrcNewsBusters found that a 22-year-old Hostin, then named Asuncion Cummings, was a holdout juror. The View co-host, however, still failed to explain that she was not the only juror who believed the killer was not guilty.
