The European Union has summoned Russia’s envoy in Brussels over an alleged attempted drone attack at Germany’s Leipzig airport last month. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas says the incident bore the “hallmarks of state-sponsored terrorism” after German authorities blamed Moscow for the failed attack. The EU is also considering tougher sanctions and visa restrictions on Russia.
