‘Simply never going to happen’: Mamdani’s Netanyahu arrest threat falls apart

News24 Washington Correspondent Jonathan Kearsley says Zohran Mamdani never had the power to order the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, despite his public demands. “Zohran Mamdani was never really going to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu; this was something that was simply never going to be achievable,” Mr Kearsley told News24 host Sharri Markson. “This was an issue that was going to come to a head to a certain extent, but Mamdani was never going to have the [power to order the NYPD to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu in the first place.”
