‘Sickening’: Sharma 'astonished' at how Muldoon was approved by Labor after ‘fake Jew’ slur

Shadow Citizenship Minister Dave Sharma says it’s “astonishing” Labor approved Rhys Muldoon after his ‘fake Jew’ remark. “I’ve known about Rhys Muldoon’s offensive comments for some time, and I’m not in the Labor Party,” Mr Sharma told News24 host Sharri Markson. “The idea that Anthony Albanese…didn’t know about Rhys Muldoon’s problem past, to put it mildly, before they recommended him for a job… just defies belief. ​“They knew he said these things he;d said these things and they thought he was still fit for employment in a taxpayer-funded office. I think that’s sickening. ​“Staffing decisions don’t happen without the approval without the approval of people in the prime minister’s office.”
