News24 Asia Correspondent Stas Butler reports the devastating scale of the Nepal flash floods, with almost 1,500 people reportedly missing, including 34 Australians and nationals from more than two dozen countries. “We’re hearing just shy of 1,500 missing,” Mr Butler told News24 host Chris Kenny. “We know from the Nepalese side more than two dozen nationalities are actually represented among those foreign nationals who are missing … obviously there’s a huge spread there including those 34 Australian nationals. “Penny Wong, the Foreign Minister, said there are very limited updates on the whereabouts of those Australians; we know that they’ve been reported missing from various tour groups. “Really tragic news there and certainly, as you say, the numbers seem to be getting higher.”
