Russia has been accused of killing a one-year-old girl in her stroller after a drone strike tore through a crowded park in Kharkiv region. Ukrainian officials said the attack hit Nova Vodolaha’s central park, where families and children had gathered on Monday. Authorities said three women and two girls, aged 11 and 14 months, were among the dead, with at least 15 others wounded. The strike came as UN monitors warned civilian casualties had surged 85 per cent in September compared with the same month last year. At least 328 civilians were killed and 2,105 injured during September, according to the UN’s latest verified figures.
