Republicans’ midterm prospects improve as gas prices take centre stage

Republicans Overseas UK Chair Greg Swenson weighs in on the GOP's chances in the upcoming November midterms. “If we could get gas prices or petrol down … maybe it’s not going to hit $3 like we had six months ago, but that’s a good step,” Mr Swenson told News24 host Danica De Giorgio. “If you’d asked me a month or two ago, I was very negative about our prospects, but the way that the Speaker explained it yesterday … there’s only 19 House seats that are considered toss-ups.”
