Potential for ‘harassment and intimidation' with AI powered smart glasses on the rise

The Attorney-General Michelle Rowland responds to concerns surrounding AI powered smart glasses in Australia during Question Time. “Community concerns are also growing about privacy, surveillance and the potential for misuse,” Ms Rowland said. “Last week I asked the Privacy Commissioner to prioritise consideration of the privacy implications associated with this technology. “Increasing the risk of unwanted surveillance and undermining Australians ability to control how their personal information and images are collected.”
