PM dismisses claims he held onto AI hack information for political gain

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has rejected criticism that he delayed releasing details on the OpenAI Medicare breach. “My government was determined to act as soon as possible, to ascertain the facts were important, rather than go off half-cocked … and then to be transparent,” Mr Albanese said. The prime minister said the claims he held onto the information for political advantage were "nonsense".
