Past administrations accused of running protection racket for Ilhan Omar

Former Assistant Attorney General Theo Wold argues previous administrations may have avoided investigating Ilhan Omar over political concerns. “This is something that was potentially known to previous administrations,” Mr Wold told News24 host Elizabeth Pipko. “This helps sort of really make sense of the charge that's being levelled against President Trump and the Trump administration, which is this is all just politically motivated. It's a witch hunt. “I actually think the opposite is more true here. “A member of Congress, an elite, an international elite, received protected status from the enforcement of the law, something that most ordinary Americans or ordinary immigrants in our country would not receive.”
