News Corp Columnist Angela Mollard says the chances of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor receiving a royal funeral is “absolutely nil” and that if he were to die, King Charles would make a point to say it was “funded privately”. “I think it’s probably just an oversight or paperwork that hasn’t been looked at,” Ms Mollard told News24 Digital Presenter Gabriella Power. “The chances of Andrew having a state funeral, particularly right now, are absolutely nil. “As we know anyone can go at any time, but I think the public appetite for a taxpayer funded funeral where Andrew is laid to rest … I just think that’s not going to happen.”
