‘No longer being pounded’: Ukraine unleashes 600 drones deep inside Russia

News24 Defence Analyst Peter Jennings warns Ukraine’s increasingly sophisticated drone warfare is changing the conflict. “We’ve seen drone attacks deep into the Russian state,” Mr Jennings told News24 host Chris Kenny. “I think this is at least over the last six months a relatively new feature of the Ukrainian war. “What’s really interesting about this particular attack is the number of drones, 600. “What we’re seeing is the Ukrainians are getting more sophisticated; they can take their offensive actions deeper into Russian territory. This is no longer a case of them simply being pounded by Russian missiles themselves.”
