Netflix star and mountaineer Nirmal Purja killed in Pakistan avalanche

A renowned mountain climber has died in an avalanche in Pakistan. Netflix documentary star and record-setting climber, mountaineer Nirmal Purja, was part of an expedition of ten people climbing Broad Peak. The group was reported missing after being hit by an avalanche earlier this week. Their expedition company has now confirmed that none of the group survived. Mr Purja was recognised for holding the record for the fastest ascent of the world’s 14 highest mountains.
