Former Republican nominee for the US Senate Rik Mehta says New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s proposal for grocery stores to slash 30 per cent of essential items is Communism that will have a negative effect on taxpayers. “It’s just Communism in a grocery cart,” Mr Mehta told News24 host James Morrow. “Fake discounts, real taxes, unfair competition. “This is not affordability, this is Communist theatre.”
