Prime Minister Anthony Albanese echoing claims that negative gearing was “taxpayer-funded landlord welfare” has been admonished by a construction industry veteran. Master Builders CEO Denita Wawn defended against the claim and stressed Australia’s housing crisis came down to a lack of supply in the market. “For decades now we have not been building enough homes which has meant that our prices have got out reach of many Australians, whether they want to own a home or they're renting a home,” Ms Wawn told News24.
